Q&A's
How did you find yoni steaming?
We were drawn to Yoni steaming a few years ago when opening a wellness centre. We were seeking something spiritual and ancient that we could offer to women to help bring out the goddess in them, while deeping a little deeper into the women’s womb. Personally my interest was for my own personal interests and traumas I had suffered myself and how we could help other women. We were looking to make a difference
What did you first think when you heard about the practice?
Well to be honest, it was not described the correct way at first, as it was the way of west to think of these practises as sexual.
Until I looked deeper and personally reached out to Angie from Yoni Steam Australia. I really had no idea what to expect, I was so intrigued and was extremely happy I did.
What was your first experience yoni steaming like?
I loved it, it was graceful, from the consult to the steam. I felt supported and guided, I felt like I could truly express my feelings without thinking of being judged. The warmth of the water and the herbs was truly relaxing and pleasant. It was like having a little sauna in that area or now I like to say a 'little Spa for the Wa Wa'. It made me instantly think only of myself, which was something that I struggle to do.
What makes you passionate about the practice?
Its a beautiful practise, it teaches us about how important and valued our bodies are. It gives us a true moment to reflect. It made me feel fantastic inside as well as outside.
How often do you Yoni steam yourself?
I try to Yoni steam at least 1 time per month, and on most occasions 2 times.
With all the benefits that Yoni steaming gives what did you find the most surprising?
Relaxation - hydration - Clear mind, I also feel it has helped with alot of my peri-menopausal symptoms.
I have also been steaming to clear out some sexual and emotional trauma, this is something that is the most important to me at the moment.
Who is your ideal client?
All Women, however I love to consult with women that are open to try holistic approaches and are willing to give it a good trial. I also love talking to women like myself that have experienced life a little more, and are seeking a outlet that helps them through emotional times.
If someone was on the fence about trying out the practice what would you tell them?
It is such a beautiful practice, If you do not enter the cave, you will never find the treasure.
This is a treasure!
